Region: Huila, Colombia
Located in southwestern Colombia, Huila is nestled in-between the Central and Eastern ranges of the Andes, with the middle area called the Magdalena Valley. The variation in elevation results in Huila being one of the country's most unique and complex regions of coffee production. Its terroir, climate, and harvest cycles all contribute to the quality of coffee produced here. The most impressive quality behind the coffees coming out of Huila lies in the people producing them. While Huila accounts for nearly 20% of the country's production, 80% of coffee producers operate on less than three hectares.
Tasting notes
We're tasting a super sweet, balanced cup with that signature Colombian clarity, think juicy ripe red fruit - my first taste was a crisp Cherry acidity, then getting a sticky toffee sweetness, and a silky body.

Huila de Caña is a regional decaf from southwestern Colombia. Rather than a single estate, it’s a carefully selected blend of coffees grown across the Huila region - bringing together the best characteristics of this remarkable origin into one seriously good cup.
Huila sits between Colombia’s Central and Eastern Andes ranges, with dramatic elevation changes flowing into the Magdalena Valley. This natural diversity creates coffees with layered sweetness, depth, and balance. Combined with a climate that allows for staggered harvests throughout the year, Huila has earned its reputation as one of Colombia’s most respected coffee regions.
While this coffee doesn’t offer full farm-level traceability, what it does offer is exceptional flavour. Much of Huila’s coffee is produced by smallholder farmers working plots of less than three hectares, and their collective expertise shines through in the cup.
Finished using the Sugar Cane decaffeination process, this coffee retains impressive clarity, sweetness, and structure - proof that great decaf doesn’t need to compromise on taste.
